Dovetail Freebie on her maiden flight

Dovetail Freebie (DT-FB) is a 5” free-style drone, though I expect to fly it more as a cinematography drone. It has a FPV camera and an action camera (GoPro Hero 11 Mini) for capturing footage. I took some pictures during the process of building this. Here’s in the early stage:

I attempted to make the build cleaner by placing the video transmitter underneath the speed controller. This made the stack’s gap small enough where, upon connecting the 25 V battery, it shorted:

I tested this with a multimeter to ensure there were no shorts, but plugging in a 6S LiPo battery was enough to go over the air gap for a short.

After some repairs, this was flight ready. Here’s a footage of one of the flights (I let someone else fly it):
